Last night's episode of How I Met Your Mother fell to season lows in the ratings, despite a solid second place finish.

"Bass Player Wanted" had an audience of 7.71 million people, down from 8.04m the episodebefore. In the key adults 18-49 demographic, How I Met Your Mother scored a 2.7/8 rating, down three tenths from December 2. How I Met Your Mother ranked second, behind NBC's The Voice.

"The Rehearsal Dinner" was watched by 8.04 million people, rising by 400,000 from last week. How I Met Your Mother scored a 3.0/8 rating in the 18-49 demographic, up a notch from 2.9/8 last week. How I Met Your Mother ranked second, behind NBC's The Voice, in all key ratings measures.

Meanwhile, Ted doesn’t come through on a promise, which aggravates Lily, on the final season of, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, Monday, Dec. 2 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Last night's episode of How I Met Your Mother finished a solid third in the ratings, rising to second among the key 18-49 demographic.

"Bedtime Stories", which uniquely was told in rhyme, was watched by 7.64 million people. The audience was down by 470,000 people from last week. How I Met Your Mother was third in viewers, behind ABC's Dancing with the Stars and NBC's The Voice.

The show rose to second place in the 18-49 demo with a 2.9/8 rating, down two tenths from last week. HIMYM finished second in the demo, behind The Voice.

James Van Der Beek returns as Robin’s ex-boyfriend, Simon, and Lin-Manuel Miranda guest stars as Gus.

"Mom and Dad", which saw the return of John Lithgow as Barney's dad, had 8.11 million viewers, up ever so slightly from 8.08 last week. How I Met Your Mother ranked second in viewers, behind ABC's Dancing with the Stars. How I Met Your Mother was first in the 18-49 demo with a 3.1/9 rating, unchanged from last week.

Last night's episode of How I Met Your Mother, which featured the return of Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston, finished a strong second in the key 18-49 demo and third overall in the ratings for its time slot.

"Platonish" was watched by 8.08 million people, down 0.59m from last week. The show ranked third in viewers, behind ABC's Dancing with the Stars and NBC's The Voice.

How I Met Your Mother rose to second place in the important adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.1/9 rating. This was down from 3.4/9 a week ago. How I Met Your Mother was second to The Voice in the demo.

CBS has announced the storyline for the November 18 episode of How I Met Your Mother. John Lithgow reprises his role as Barney's father, Jerry. Frances Conroy and Wayne Brady appear as Barney's mother and brother, Loretta and James, respectively.

"Mom and Dad" - When Barney's father arrives at the hotel, Barney devises a plan that makes Robin very nervous. Meanwhile, Ted is convinced someone framed him by messing up a wedding-related duty, on the final season of, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, Monday, Nov. 18 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. John Lithgow returns as Barney's father, Jerry; Frances Conroy returns as Barney's mother Loretta; and Wayne Brady returns as Barney's brother, James.

HIMYM gets four People's Choice nominations November 5 2013

HIMYM gets four People's Choice nominations

How I Met Your Mother is nominated for three People's Choice Awards. How I Met Your Mother is nominated for Favorite Network TV Comedy, Neil Patrick Harris is up for the Favorite Comedy TV Actor, and the show's five characters are nominated in the Favorite TV Bromance and Favorite TV Gal Pals categories.

Votes can be cast at peopleschoice.com/pca/vote until December 5th. The award ceremony will air live on CBS on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 9pm ET.
